This notice describes the BingBees website and mobile app. “BingBees,” “we” and “our” refer to the service in this notice. For privacy questions or information about the operator responsible for your data, contact our privacy team below.
Request account or data deletion
1. Information used to provide the service
- Account details: your name, email address, optional phone number, country and other profile details you choose to provide. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, not readable passwords. Sign-in tokens and website sessions provide access to member tools.
- Content and activity: profiles, business and marketplace listings, events, groups, jobs, community projects, saved items, participation, referrals, support requests and other information you submit through available features.
- Messages: the text, files, participants and timing of private conversations, together with reports and moderation records where applicable.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser or app information, request times, session activity and diagnostic or security records needed to operate and protect the service.
- Privacy requests: the verified account email, request scope, optional explanation, reference, review status and review notes used to handle an account or personal-data deletion request.
2. How information is used
We use this information to create and secure accounts, display content, connect members, provide messaging and member tools, respond to support and privacy requests, enforce access controls, investigate misuse and maintain the service. Where a transactional feature is available, relevant records are also used to administer that transaction and address disputes.
3. Public content and private communications
Information you publish in public profiles or listings can be seen by visitors and other members. Include only information you intend to make public. Other people may copy or share public material outside BingBees.
Uploaded media is currently stored using Backblaze B2. Public images may be delivered using public media links. Chat attachments are encrypted by the server before storage and are downloaded through participant-authorized routes; the storage provider holds their encrypted files.
Chat is not end-to-end encrypted. Message text is processed and stored by the BingBees server, and authorized support or moderation personnel can access communications for permitted operational work. Server-managed encryption of attachments does not make a conversation end-to-end encrypted.
Replacing, hiding or detaching a public image or listing does not necessarily purge the underlying file, cached copies or copies already held by other people. Use the privacy request process when you need us to review stored personal data.
4. Cookies and storage on your device
Website cookies support sign-in, CSRF protection and preferences. The app keeps its sign-in credential in platform secure storage. Public discovery results, images, categories, branding and interface wording may be cached on your device for loading and limited offline browsing. Private account responses and messages are not placed in that public-content cache.
You can sign out, manage browser cookies and use the app’s public-cache controls. Clearing a device cache or uninstalling the app does not delete your server-side account or records. Some website workflows opened inside the app use their own website-session cookies.
5. Service providers and optional features
Hosting and email-delivery systems process the information needed to operate BingBees and deliver requested account, security and privacy messages. Backblaze B2 currently provides media storage. Providers may process information in countries other than your own; contact us for information relevant to your request.
Address suggestions currently use the Photon service at photon.komoot.io with OpenStreetMap data. When you type a location search, BingBees sends the search text and selected country to that provider from our server. The provider receives the server request; do not enter private information unrelated to the location you want to find. Suggestions may be cached briefly to reduce repeated requests.
For this deployment as of the update date, Firebase push notifications, Google Maps/geocoding, automatic translation, website reCAPTCHA, Stripe, PayPal and identity verification are not enabled or configured. The rebuilt BingBees Android app version 5.0.0 does not register Firebase delivery tokens or run a Firebase notification background worker. These app-specific details describe version 5.0.0; earlier app versions may differ. An in-app inbox is separate from device push notifications.
If you follow a business website, an external map, or another external link, the destination receives your request under its own privacy practices. A feature’s menu entry is not evidence that an optional provider is currently active.
6. Security and access
BingBees uses HTTPS, password hashing, access controls and server-side validation. Private request details are restricted to the privacy review administrator and are encrypted in the application database. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers or identity documents in ordinary messages or privacy-request notes.
7. Account deletion, retention and other privacy requests
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data, or ask us to review specified data without closing the account. Our dedicated page is available without signing in. Account-linked requests require an email link and an explicit confirmation before entering the manual review queue.
A submitted request, or a status such as “review closed,” does not by itself mean that records have been erased. The privacy team considers the request, verifies authority where needed and communicates the outcome. Some transaction, security, dispute or legal records may need to be retained. Backups, provider-held records and information involving other people require individual consideration.
Processing and retention requirements depend on the records and applicable obligations. Contact us about the retention needs and outcome for your request. The lifetime of a confirmation or status link is only a security limit for that link, not a data-retention schedule or deletion deadline.
You can update available profile fields in your account. You may also contact us about access, correction, deletion or other privacy rights that apply in your location. If you do not have an account or cannot access its email address, use the privacy contact below so we can discuss suitable verification.
