The BingBees app provides business discovery, marketplace, events, groups, jobs, community projects, messaging and selected member workflows. The Android details on this page describe the rebuilt version 5.0.0; earlier versions may differ. Read this page together with the general Privacy Policy.
App privacy summary
Secure sign-in and website workflows
The app sends requests to BingBees over HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are kept in Android Keystore-backed secure storage on Android or Keychain secure storage on iOS. Signing out removes the saved credential and attempts to revoke the current server session. If that request cannot reach BingBees, the server token may remain valid until revoked or expired. Signing out does not delete the account or sign out every other device.
Some workflows open BingBees website pages inside the app. These pages use website-session cookies and the same server access controls as the website.
Photos, messages and public content
You choose files through a device picker when adding content. Profiles, listings, selected addresses and other public content may be visible to visitors. Private messages and attachments are processed by BingBees servers.
Backblaze B2 currently stores media. Public images can use public links. Chat attachments are encrypted before storage and served through participant-authorized downloads.
Chat is not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized server processes and permitted support or moderation personnel can access private communications. Removing or replacing a public image does not necessarily purge retained files or external copies.
Device storage and notifications
Public discovery results, images, branding and interface wording may be cached for loading and limited offline use. Private account responses and messages are excluded from the public cache. More tools includes a control to clear public cached content.
Firebase push notifications are disabled in the rebuilt BingBees Android app version 5.0.0. This version does not register a device delivery token or run a Firebase notification background worker. The app’s in-app notification inbox is a separate feature.
External services
Address search suggestions use Photon (photon.komoot.io) and OpenStreetMap data. Typed location search text and the selected country are sent through the BingBees server to Photon. This feature is separate from the unconfigured Google Maps integration.
Hosting, email delivery and Backblaze B2 support the current service. Google Maps/geocoding, automatic translation, website reCAPTCHA, Stripe, PayPal and identity verification are not currently configured or enabled on this deployment. Opening an external website or map lets that destination process your request under its own privacy practices.
Request account or data deletion
Use the dedicated request page without signing in. Enter your account email, open the confirmation email and explicitly submit the request. You will receive a reference and a private status link for the manual review.
Submitting a request does not automatically delete data. The privacy team reviews identity, scope and any applicable retention needs and communicates the outcome. Clearing a cache or uninstalling the app is not account deletion.
